Ocean Nutrition: Premium Aquarium Fish Feeds Since 1982
The Heritage
Preserving Life & Beauty Through Nutrition
Ocean Nutrition was founded in San Diego, USA, in 1982 with one purpose: to make the freshest, highest-quality feeds for marine and freshwater tropical fish, as close as possible to what those fish eat in the wild. Its diets are formulated and tested by aquaculture biologists, and the company keeps close ties with aquaculture research institutions to bring new nutrition technology to the hobby, from soft, moist marine pellets with garlic to instant baby brine shrimp.
Today Ocean Nutrition operates worldwide from commercial headquarters in Essen, Belgium, and Samutprakarn, Thailand, with production facilities located at the source of its fresh ingredients. It supplies major public aquaria, professional breeders and hobbyists. The range runs from the Formula One and Formula Two staples to Atison's Betta diets, coral foods and Great Salt Lake Artemia cysts, all made to support health, colour and vitality without clouding the water.
The Science of Nutrition
Formulated & Tested by Aquaculture Biologists
Ocean Nutrition diets combine fresh fish protein and seafood with vitamins, minerals and carotenoids to support colour, vitality and the immune system.
Fresh Marine Seafood
Fresh fish protein with seafood such as salmon, plankton, squid, krill, clams and brine shrimp forms the base of the flake formulas.
Soft Moist Pellets
The marine Formula pellets are soft, moist and easily digestible, packed in nitrogen-flushed foil to limit oxidation and keep them fresh.
Vivid Natural Colour
Carotenoids, krill and Spirulina across the range support the natural colouration of marine and freshwater fish.
Clean Water Formula
The flakes, pellets and wafers are formulated not to cloud aquarium water when fed as directed.
Fresh Natural Ingredients
Fresh seafood, marine algae and Great Salt Lake brine shrimp, chosen to mimic the natural diets of tropical fish.
Immune System Support
Rich in vitamins and minerals, with garlic in many formulas, to support vitality and normal immune function.
Natural Colour Enhancement
Spirulina, marine algae and carotenoids support vivid natural colouration in marine and freshwater fish.
