What is the difference between Formula One and Formula Two?
Formula One is the higher-protein recipe for carnivorous and omnivorous marine fish: 54.6% protein as a flake and 41.1% as a soft moist pellet. Formula Two adds extra marine algae and kelp for herbivorous and omnivorous fish such as tangs and angelfish, with 50.3% protein as a flake and 38.1% as a pellet.
Should I feed Ocean Nutrition flakes or pellets?
Flakes suit surface and mid-water feeders and smaller mouths. The Formula One and Formula Two pellets are soft, moist and slow sinking, so fish at every level get a share: Small is about 1.2 mm, and Medium is about 3.1 mm for fish from 10 cm.
Can Ocean Nutrition marine flakes be fed to freshwater fish?
Several can. Formula Two Flake is made for herbivorous marine and freshwater fish, and Prime Reef, Spirulina and Brine Shrimp Plus flakes are staple foods for both marine and freshwater tropical fish. Formula One Flake is formulated for marine tropical fish.
Do Ocean Nutrition flakes cloud aquarium water?
No. They are formulated not to cloud the water when fed as directed: only as much as your fish finish within 2 to 3 minutes, spread over 3 to 4 small feeds a day.
