What is the difference between Algae Wafers and Tropical Wafers?
Algae Wafers are a Spirulina-boosted diet for herbivorous fish, especially sucker-mouth species such as plecos. Tropical Wafers are for omnivorous bottom feeders such as loaches, Corydoras and other catfish, and bottom-feeding barbs, with 43.0% protein. Both are sinking wafers of about 13 mm.
How much should I feed bottom-feeding fish?
For both Algae Wafers and Tropical Wafers, feed only as much as your fish can consume within about two hours. The wafers are formulated not to cloud the water.
Can Shrimp Wafers be used for freshwater dwarf shrimp?
Yes. Shrimp Wafers are a sinking staple diet for freshwater shrimp, including Caridina and Neocaridina species. The wafers are about 2.3 mm, stay intact in the water for over 24 hours, and are fed at 1 to 2 wafers per shrimp per day.
Should I feed Community Formula as a flake or a pellet?
Community Formula Flake suits fish that feed at the surface and in mid-water. Community Formula Pellets are about 0.8 mm, float briefly and then sink slowly, so fish at every level can feed, and they work in automatic feeders.
