The Science of Nutrition

Formulated & Tested by Aquaculture Biologists

Ocean Nutrition diets combine fresh fish protein and seafood with vitamins, minerals and carotenoids to support colour, vitality and the immune system.

Fresh Marine Seafood

Fresh fish protein with seafood such as salmon, plankton, squid, krill, clams and brine shrimp forms the base of the flake formulas.

Soft Moist Pellets

The marine Formula pellets are soft, moist and easily digestible, packed in nitrogen-flushed foil to limit oxidation and keep them fresh.

Vivid Natural Colour

Carotenoids, krill and Spirulina across the range support the natural colouration of marine and freshwater fish.

Clean Water Formula

The flakes, pellets and wafers are formulated not to cloud aquarium water when fed as directed.

Ocean Nutrition Atison's Betta Food FAQs

What age Betta can eat Atison's Betta Food?

It is a daily food for Bettas aged 6 months and older. For younger fish from their second month, use Betta Food Pro.

What size are the pellets, and do they float?

The pellets are about 1.5 mm and float, so place them gently on the water surface.

Will Atison's Betta Food cloud the water?

No. It is designed not to cloud the water when used as directed, which matters in the small aquariums Bettas are often kept in.

What is the difference between Atison's Betta Food and Betta Food Pro?

Atison's Betta Food is the everyday maintenance pellet (about 1.5 mm) for adult Bettas. Betta Food Pro is a smaller pellet (about 1 mm) for growth and for conditioning Bettas before breeding or shows.

Which water conditioner goes with it?

Betta Spa, from the same Atison range, uses wild almond leaf extract to recreate natural Betta water conditions and is added with every water change.

Is Ocean Nutrition Atison's Betta Food available in South Africa?

Yes. Jungle Aquatics sells Atison's Betta Food in 15g and 75g, in store in Fourways, Johannesburg, and online with delivery across South Africa.
